Grounds Department Team Update

Mike Cocino1

This past December, we were happy to see one of our valued team members ascertain and accept a prestigious job offer. Second Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, Mike Cocino, accepted the First Assistant Superintendent position at the Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey.

The Golf Club is home to the Pines and Bay Courses, and has been the host site for the Shoprite LPGA Classic.

Mike has been charged with the day-to-day agronomic resposibilities of the Pines Course, a course that opened in 1929, designed by the famed architects William Flynn and Howard Toomey (Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Philadelphia Country Club, Lehigh Country Club and Rolling Green Golf Club).

This is a great move for Mike to gain valuable management experience, as well as, tournament experience with the LPGA. We wish Mike the best of luck at his new club and know he will flourish in providing a high level of service to the golf club members and hotel guests.
