Golf Course Grounds Superintendent
Jon Urbanski began working on golf courses over 29 years ago and came to Vicmead in December 2004. His career has enabled him to work on some of the most prestigious golf courses throughout the mid-Atlantic and mid-west regions. Jon has been a golf course superintendent for the last fifteen years. He graduated from Moravian College with a B.A. in Accounting where he played football and baseball. Deciding that his love of game of golf outweighed becoming a CPA, he went on to graduate from the Institute of Applied Agriculture at the University of Maryland with a certificate in Golf Course Management in 1999.
He was recruited by Wilmington Country Club (Wilmington, DE) and served one year as an assistant superintendent on both the North Course (Dick Wilson designed) and the top 100-rated South Course (Robert Trent Jones) before being promoted to the position of South Course Superintendent.
In 2002, he was hired by the Suburban Club of Baltimore County (A.W. Tillinghast) in Pikesville, Maryland for the position of Golf Course Superintendent. Two years later he was recruited by Bidermann Golf Course in Wilmington, Delaware for the position of Golf Course Grounds Superintendent returning to the state of his youth.

Away from the golf course industry, Jon has volunteered as the Basketball Program Coordinator at Immaculate Heart of Mary School and also coaches CYM and AAU basketball,.
